Sunday Night On Siquijor

One of the more recent outreaches for SMCI is on the island of Siquijor.  Siquijor is a small island off the coast of Negros. It is notorious and known country wide for its witchcraft and demonism.  Team Siquijor has been used of the LORD to reach and disciple many people as well as encourage the local church... in fact, the testimonies have been amazing! We have been told of people rescued from addiction, witchcraft and superstition, fear and deviant lifestyles--having trusted Christ!

Sunday night, SMCI Team Negros joined with SMCI Team Siquijor and the newly formed SMCI Crusade Team! With Pastor Mike, they took the ferry over and spent the day going through the dusty streets of Larena handing out invitations and tracts!

They set up in the middle of town on a covered outdoor sports court. The people began to come and finally when about 1000 had arrived the music team began to sing followed by Pastor Mike giving the Gospel! Over 400 people came forward desiring to know how to trust the LORD! They divided into small groups counsellors and dealt with each person individually for a very long time. At the end, contact information was collected to make the first appointments for followup and discipleship!

The team is made up of about 100 workers and volunteers.  We praise the LORD for each and everyone of them and are planning to launch the Crusade team all year round!
