e-campaign 2010 - What's Going On This Week?

Campus Evangelism Negros

This week we are in Negros Oriental! This is where the LORD first launched SMCI as we know it today! It is here that we have planted 3 churches and see the most expansive of the SMCI chapters thus far!

Most of the traveling team, including the local full time SMCI workers, are hitting the campuses of several cities in Negros this week--as you can see by the schedule at the left--the plan is very aggressive!    They will be holding Room to Room Evangelism, Mass Evangelism, and Gospel Nights on new campuses as well as those on which we already have been recognized and have official standing!

Launch of New Ministry on Siquijor Island

A marvelous answer to prayer--but really just a beginning! The small province of Siquijor is just an hour from Dumaguette by ferry-- but it's a world away in other ways! It is known for the prevalent witchcraft and sorcery practiced by many there. People refer to it with fear and superstitious protections in their words. Siquijodnons are also very religious, the island being located so near to the first Catholic church (Bohol) in the Philippines.  Whole families and communities carrying on with traditional practices like jointly dressing up their santos for Lenten processions, following the stations of the cross and generally spending a lot of time praying and meditating in churches during the Holy Week.

Some of the SMCI, Negros Chapter team members have been committed to seeking the LORD for the souls on Sigquijor and have gained permission for Room to Room Evangelism on 5 campuses today and more Thursday and Friday!  Two ladies have surrendered to stay behind and start discipleship and Bible Studies! Pray for them and for the traveling team led by P Mike. (PMike is down with a very bad sore throat and fever today.)

NEW Teams Arriving This Week

We continue to praise the LORD for the many
nations represented in the team all united as citizens of the Kingdom!

~ Philippines ~ India ~ Singapore ~ Scotland ~ U.S.A. ~
~ Ireland ~ Indonesia ~ Malaysia ~

The 3rd Singapore Team made up mostly of our GLCC Bible School students has arrived and joined us!

Justin Woodbury from the Nosnuma Team in Colorado is arriving on Friday. We already know his departing flight leaving LAX was delayed and he will miss his Manila connection--pray the LORD will make a way in this--schedules are tight!

The 2nd U.S. Team arrives this Friday too from Pennsylvania!

Pray for safety in travel
and unity of Spirit and purpose in the work!

" . . . so we, being many, are one body in Christ,
and individually members of one another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence;
he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness."
Romans 12:5-8
