"So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality,
then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written,
Death is swallowed up in victory."
1 Corinthians 15:54
Thanks for praying for Mike's mom, Mary Louise Redick, who passed from this world to the glory of Heaven and the presence of her Savior on Sunday, the 29th of June.
The Lord was gracious to answer prayer and allow us to spend 3 weeks with her before that day and even have a Bible Study together with Mike's sis Deb about Heaven just 3 days before she left us!
At the ceremony to celebrate her life, many testimonies were given of thanksgiving for a life well spent as wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. The LORD was glorified and Mike preached the Gospel with full-liberty! We saw the Spirit open hearts and trust that a great work was done!
Mike had two moms all his life--one who bore him and one who raised him--this is the wonderful woman who raised him. We thank the LORD for her steadfast care and love which she gave so freely and unconditionally to her family. We thank Him also for her sweet testimony of salvation and peaceful homegoing!
Mary Louise Redick
Mary Louise Redick, born Plemons, slipped gently from her Cedarpines Park home into heaven on June 29th at 12 noon where she met her Savior!
Born on Feb 21, 1943 in Covina, CA, she later married Tom Redick and eventually the couple and their family moved to Cedarpines Park. Louise spent most of her life as a resident of CPP where she and her husband Tom were active in the CB community doing fire-watch on the mountain in the 70’s, the San Moritz Beach Club, and many volunteer activities.
Louise was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, ggrandmother and friend—an exceptional homemaker who provided a perfect home for their 7 children. She successfully managed to meld two broken families into a single strong one!
In her later years, she worked with Fun Scraping and Mary Cuccin in Crestline where she finally found her calling-scrapping, making many friends and encouraging all she met! She loved reading, scrapping and crocheting with her best friend, Pat Grier who was by her side up to the end.
She is survived by her 7 children, Mark Thomas Redick of LaQuinta; Debora Lynn Fisher of Oklahoma City, OK, Michael Allen Redick of Singapore; Kimberly Ann Grier of San Diego; Leeayn Elizabeth Redick of Huntington Beach; Sherman Scott Stone of Troy, NC; Georgia Ann Thomsen of Edmonds, WA; 9 grandchildren- Veronica, Jesse, Bailey, Ashley, Brianna, Mary Coe, Michael, Jenna, and Kameron; 2 great-grandchildren- Christopher and Blake; as well as sons-in-law Scott Grier and Kirk Thomsen and daughters-in-law Susie, Lisa and Robyn Stone along with many loving friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Ralph and Allene Plemons, husband Tom Redick, and brother, Fred Plemons.
A lovely celebration of her life was held Wed, July 2nd at the family home. Clearly, she will be missed.
