Update on Needs in Myanmar








Update From The Brethren In Myanmar


10 OF OUR MISSION CHURCHES, the BIBLE COLLEGE, AND one CHILDREN's HOME ARE
AFFECTED BY THE NARGIS CYCLONE

1.
Fellowship Baptist Church, in Maubin city:
15 families’ houses were
destroyed completely.
Not yet assisted.

2.
Alekai Village Church:
7 Families’ houses were
destroyed completely.
Not yet assisted.

3.
Shanchaung Baptist Church, Hlaingtharyar
Township:

4 Families’ houses were destroyed completely.
Rice bags are provided to these affected families.


4.
Bible Baptist Church, at Miangtaka Village:
One family’s house was
completely destroyed.
Not yet assisted.

5.
Danginkung Baptist Church, Swepyitha Township:
3 Families’ houses were completely destroyed. Not yet assisted.

6.
Biblical School of Theology:
Some parts of roof
were damaged.
It has been repaired some-- not all. PTL classes will resume
as planned 5th June.

7.
Hope Children’s Home Building:
Fencing was
collapsed. It needs a big amount of money and we can not afford to repair
it.

8.
Shwelynban Baptist Church, HlaingTharyar Township:
11 Families’ houses were destroyed:
Four small houses were assisted to
rebuild.

A Trip to Our Mission churches on May 22:

We hired a small truck on May 22 and we went to our mission fields where four of our
churches are affected and provided them some rice bags, drinking waters, Tarpaulin for house
roof, medicines, thatch for house roof, and some breads. The following four churches were given some assistant:
9.
Revival Baptist Church, Maubin city:
5 families’ houses were destroyed completely.
Blankets are given to these families.

10.
Grace Baptist Church, at Sitkung Village:
4 Families’ houses were destroyed completely.

The four small houses have been assisted by providing thatch for house roof.
Rice bags are given and one house is completely built where they can worship.
The below house is helped rebuilt.

11.
Thingngu Revival Baptist Church, Thingngu village:
17 Families’ houses were destroyed completely.

I was encouraging the believers from John 14:1-3 and Matt. 28:20 and preaching the
gospel to nonchristians at a small temporary cottage before distributing aids.

12.
Asuhkyi Revival Baptist Church, Asuhkyi Village:
8 Families’ houses were
destroyed completely.
Some medicines, rice bags, drinking waters are given
to these families also.
